My fascination with cake decorating began over 25 years ago while hunting for a cake in Australia with my soon to be (Australian) husband. I was amazed by the artistry of the wedding cakes and the flowers made of sugar that looked so real. This started a desire that someday I would be able to create one myself. I have combined this passion with my belief that a cake should taste as good as it looks. Thus The Cakewalk Shop was born! My kitchen is located at Swan Trail Farms, a wedding and reception venue situated alongside the Snohomish River in Snohomish County. I do not mass produce cakes. I see myself more as a boutique baker working with my customers to produce a cake uniquely suited to their tastes and occasion. I service and deliver within Snohomish, King, Skagit, Whatcom, and Island counties.   |
